The first sign you received that your newborn had arrived is crying. You will feel relief with that. However, as time flies, you might get annoyed by the baby's crying or tantrum.

There are various reasons for babies to cry. For example, hunger, overstimulated, nose congestion, health condition, and more.  As babies are unable to express their feeling like a grown-up, they will throw a tantrum when they feel unwell or frustrated.

An adult always loses their patience regarding this issue.

What are the ways to stop baby from crying?

1. Feeding

Parents should take note of their feeding schedule. Hunger is the most common factor for babies to cry.

Babies in a different stage might need a different feeding schedule:

Newborn: every 2 to 3 hours

2 months: every 3 to 4 hours

4 to 6+ months: every 4 to 5 hours

2. Get moving

Babies might get into a bad mood when they are in an unlikely environment, especially in unfamiliar and stuffy environments.

According to research that monitored the responses of 12 healthy infants ages 1 month to 6 months. The scientists wanted to discover the most effective way for mothers to calm a crying baby over a 30-second period — simply holding the baby or carrying the infant while walking.

Parents could bring their babies for a walk. The infant might become noticeably more relaxed and stopped crying while parents carried their babies to walk around.

3. Play a consent sound

In your womb, babies could hear the beat of your heart. Therefore, they will enjoy being held close to your heartbeat.

Other than heartbeat, some familiar mimic sounds might comfort the baby to sleep too. For example, washing machines,  phone applications, or toys that play a range of sounds.

4. Warm bath

A soothing bath may help your baby to calm down. Check the water temperature before placing her in the bath. It should be about 37 degrees C to 38 degrees C. If you don't have a thermometer, dip your elbow into the water. It should feel warm instead of too hot or too cold.

Bear in mind that a bath may also make some babies cry more if they don’t enjoy the sensation of being in the water. In time, you'll get to know your baby's likes and dislikes.

5. Rational

Parents have to be rational enough to identify the problems of their babies instead of getting angry or frustrated. One of the most important issues is to make sure your baby doesn't have a fever. If yes, visit the doctor immediately.

Other than fever, nose congestion is also one of the common problems that the baby faced. They are unable to clear their mucus by themselves, therefore parents are responsible for the stuffy nose problems.

Parents should try to identify the health problems if their baby and sort it out rationally.
